Heavily timbered, the county's geographical features include numerous rivers - the Willamette, Clackamas, Sandy, Pudding, Molalla, and Salmon, and Mt. Hood. Since its creation, agriculture, timber, manufacturing, and commerce have been the county's principal activities.
