Benton County is the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, home to over a dozen wonderful wineries dotted throughout Benton County, as well as Oregon State University.
Biking is big...with more than 60 miles of bike paths along the Willamette River, through parks and within the city of Corvellis, the County seat. Alsea Falls waterfalls are on the south fork of the Alsea River and have Day use picnic facilities. Excellent fishing abounds - in the fall Chinook salmon and in the winter, winter steelhead. Additionally, Searun cutthroat can be caught in August and September.
The County also offers guided fishing and whitewater rafting tours on the Alsea, McKenzie, Santiam, Umpqua and Willamette Rivers.
